Okra Recipe
Okra Recipe Ingredients Required:
¼ cup of water
2 tsp of Red chilli powder
½ tsp of Turmeric powder
1 tsp hot spice
3 tbs of cooking oil
2 medium-size onion sliced
½ kg okra
3 green chilies slit
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 large size onion chopped
1 tbs of cumin seeds
3 to 4 green chillies chopped
½ tbs ginger garlic crushed
2 tomatoes chopped
1 & ½ tbs coriander seeds roasted & crushed
½ cup yogurt whisked
2 tsp fresh coriander chopped
1 & ½ tbs lemon juice
Fresh coriander chopped
Green chilli sliced
Salt to taste
Okra Recipe Directions
In a bowl add water, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and hot spices. Mix all the ingredients well and set aside.
In a pan heat oil, add okra, onion, and green chilies. Mix and fry them well on high flame for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown. Takeout the mixture and set it aside.
In the same pan add oil, onion, and fry until translucent.
Now add cumin seeds and mix well.
Add green chilli and chopped ginger garlic and mix well.
Add tomatoes and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
Add coriander seeds and mix well.
Add prepared spice mixture and mix well. Cover the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until tomatoes are soft.
Add yogurt and mix well.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Add water and bring it to a boil.
Sprinkle some fresh coriander and add fried okra & onion and cover it and on medium flame cook it for 8-10 minutes.
Add lemon juice and simmer for 2 minutes & serve.
