The well-known cartoon has six seasons and 319 episodes in total and the British show is made for preschool kids, with each episode being approximately 10 minutes long. Peppa Pig has been on the air for over incredible 16 years. Around the world, Peppa Pig is beloved by many children, parents and even older generations that grew up watching it.
Peppa Pig’ success made the star appear in clothes, accessories and even some snacks. The well-known tv series has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, making some rumours surfacing on the internet.
So How Tall is Peppa Pig?
The most popular rumour about the lovely pig is regarding her real height. This happened when a Twitter user posted a screenshot of a google search. After searching for “how tall is Peppa Pig”, google showed that Peppa is over 7’ feet tall.
Note that is not the first time a cartoon character’s height catch the internet’s attention. In June, animated toddler and children's cartoon character Caillou was said to be 5'11". This rumour caused many jokes on social media. And with Peppa Pig is not that different.
The Twitter user in question was @Memeulous. He, being curious, decided to investigate the piggy cartoon’s height and found that on-screen Peppa Pig’s main character might appear much shorter than what google suggested. Google showed that the star of the long-running British animated children's TV series is 7 feet 1 inch tall.
Peppa Pig vs Shaquille O’Neil: Height
It didn’t take long until the topic got attention from people, resulting in funny comments from all across social media platforms. Twitter’s users were also fast in noticing that the supposed Peppa’s height is the same as the former professional basketball star Shaquille O’Neil.
But another person wrote on Twitter about an even more tarrying detail in this whole story. If the playful piggy was over 7 feet tall, that meant her parents were actual giants. If the information about Peppa’s height was real, it meant that Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig were almost incredible 14 feet tall. Imagine that! The source of this viral rumour appears to be Twitter user @Memeulous, however, how the information, regarding the beloved protagonist of Peppa Pig, appeared on google is unknown, but it might not be true at all.
On the fandom wiki, Peppa Pig’s height is listed as being 3 feet tall.
Queen Elizabeth II > Peppa Pig
Additionally, the television series had some features with human characters, including Santa Claus and The Queen. Now, Santa’s height is not certain, but the Queen’s certainly is. In the first episode of season six, which was named “Peppa Meets the Queen”, based on Queen Elizabeth II herself, we can see the Queen and is visible that the main character of Peppa Pig and the rest of the animals are a lot smaller than the monarch.
Later on, in the same episode, the Queen is side to side with Peppa and we can see some significant height difference between the two. Peppa appears to be about 70% of the Queen’s height. The Queen is only 5 feet tall, which, unfortunately for some, proves that the star of the television series is not gigantic.
In the end, whether this comical rumour was an elaborate, viral hoax or not to get people’s attention for Peppa’s debut music album, it worked. The star of Peppa Pig got a huge wave of reviews for her collection of records.
This funny story was a perfect way to say goodbye to the television hit series. It was good while it lasted! As if Peppa wasn’t famous enough, she is getting her own single-handed Theme Park in Florida, USA. It is planned to be opened in 2022.
