I know films are subjective but there is no denying the genius of this particular film which saw a young Lindsay Lohan show just how much she belongs on the big screen. The Parent Trap Cast Where Are They Now: Lindsay Lohan
This is an actress who needs no introduction, having starred in more than one iconic film since The Parent Trap. She has firmly solidified her position as one of the rom-com greats but what is she up to now? Her most recent acting project was Among The Shadows, a 2019 film about a private detective with a secret, unravelling the murder of her uncle. It did poorly at the box office and was slated by critics for having a completely disjointed storyline and terrible special effects. Since then, she has announced that she’s going to release another album alongside her acting career.
In a random turn of events, she also opened up her own nightclub in Athens, Greece. Fancying herself a business mogul, Lindsay partnered with MTV to co-produce her own show entitled Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club. Unfortunately, the show was discontinued after just one season for not being “dramatic enough”. Oh, dear.
Who knows what she’ll get up to next, I’m just looking forward to hopefully hearing some music from her!

Another actor who needs absolutely no introduction, Dennis Quaid who played Nick Parker in The Parent Trap, has had an illustrious career. His filmography starts as early as 1975 and is still going strong now with several movies currently set to release later this year. Born A Champion is his most recent release and tells the story of a former Marine as he prepares for a jujitsu rematch against a bruising opponent who cheated during their first encounter. It scored an impressive 85% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been a hit with audiences and critics alike.
In 2020, Dennis got married to Laura Savoie, his girlfriend of one year. They had a beautiful, secret ceremony and then eloped to Santa Barbara. The two met at a business conference in 2019 and immediately hit it off. When asked about his sudden proposal, he responded with “Love just has a way of surprising you”. How cute!

Playing the evil step-mum stereotype to perfection is Elaine Hendrix, who played Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap. Since the film’s release in 1998, she has also enjoyed a successful acting career, starring in well-known television shows such as 90210, Joan of Arcadia, and Friends and Lovers. Her most recent acting role was in the hit CW show Dynasty where she played Alexis Carrington, a remarkably similar role to Meredith Blake. Clearly, she’s found her niche! As for what she’s up to now, that’s anyone’s guess. She’s fairly quiet on social media and likes to keep her private life, private. I hope wherever she is that she’s doing well though (and isn’t being tormented by some identical twins)!

Slightly lesser known than the aforementioned actors, Lisa Ann Walter played Chessy in The Parent Trap. I was always jealous of Hallie Parker for having the coolest housesitter ever, not to mention the coolest house ever. Chessy was a great addition to the film and I think we can all agree that she and Martin made the cutest couple! She has since starred in Hollywood hits such as Bruce Almighty and Shall We Dance and was previously married to Sam Baum. She is currently rumoured to be starring alongside Elaine Hendrix in TCB Baby, a television show, details of which are being kept under wraps.

Now, I couldn’t do this list and not include everyone’s favourite butler! In his extensive career, Simon Kunz has had roles in very famous shows such as Casualty and Sherlock, as well as films such as Magnolia and A Fantastic Fear of Everything. He’s still going strong with two acting projects already well underway in 2021 but other than that, there isn’t much to report.
