We recently wrote about Peppa Pig’s height, when rumours about her real height sparked conversations all over the interwebs. And although Happies already did an investigation of our own to get to the bottom of this interesting theory, the truth is that neither Hasbro, the company that now owns the rights to Peppa Pig, or Entertainment One, its predecessor ever confirmed or denied.
This means that Peppa Pig’s characters’ height can still be a mystery. But if you haven’t read the first post on the shocking discovery that answers the question How Tall is Peppa Pig let me introduce it to you!
Peppa Pig is an animated television series aimed at pre-schooler children. It was created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker in the year 2000 but only debuted in 2004, distributed by Entertainment One. The television series is known worldwide and is broadcasted in over 180 countries around the globe.
Peppa Pig features Peppa, the main character of the series, her little brother George, their parents, and friends. In each episode, they have amazing adventures. This cartoon is loved by many families due to its simplicity yet charming, colourful, and warm hearting. Peppa Pig is so beloved around the world, the television series got over $1 billion in revenue from merchandise in 2019 alone!
One of those rumours that appeared on the internet, through a tweet from the user @Memeulous was regarding Peppa’s height. The Twitter user decided to search the star of the television series’ height and google showed an incredible 7 feet 1 inch tall. Now, if a 4-year-old pig is already that tall, it means her parents are giants.
SO HOW TALL IS DADDY PIG?
If you remember, in the last post, we noticed a terrifying detail involving Peppa and her parents. If you choose to believe the star of the television series is, indeed, as tall as google suggests (7 feet 1 inch), it means that Mommy Pig is enormous, but Daddy Pig is an absurd big giant.
Daddy Pig aka Mr Pig is Peppa’s and George’s dad in Peppa Pig. His name is Percy, and he is described as silly, funny, clumsy, goofy, hyperactive, and fun-loving. Daddy Pig is 30 years old and has a brother, Uncle Pig.
Daddy Pig is a big, pale pink pig with orange facial hair, dark pink lips, pink cheeks, and a curly pigtail. He wears a teal outfit, a pair of black glasses, and black shoes. Exactly like Peppa herself, her daddy loves to play and have fun with his family and friends, but sometimes can be lazy or even forgetful. We aren’t sure about his career, but Mr Pig seems to be either an engineer or architect since is usually shown with blueprints and designed a house in “The New House” episode.
How Tall is Daddy Pig? Now, according to Google, Daddy Pig is 14 feet 2 inches tall! The average height of a man around the world is about 5 feet 7 inches. It’s safe to say that if Daddy Pig existed in real life, it would be scary or at least Dino territory.
HOW TALL IS DADDY PIG = HUGE INTERNET CONTROVESY
When the news about Peppa’s real height got attention from social media’s users, it didn’t take long until everyone, us included, started wondering about Peppa’s relative’s height. Many fans decided to do their own calculations, published in media forums such as Reddit. Even the media participated, with major publications such as Huffington Post and, news stations, like CNN.
While watching an episode of Peppa Pig in which it features Daddy Pig, there’s a visible difference between Peppa and her dad’s height. If Peppa is 7 feet 1 inch and his dad has what almost looks like double of her size, Daddy Pig is about 14 feet 2 inches!
Neither Mummy Pig nor George escaped from the fans’ calculations and they concluded that Mummy Pig is around 11 feet 6 inch and little George 4 feet 5 inch. If we ignore the fact that George is only two years old, his height is not terrifying.
Fun fact: the tallest man in the world is “only” 8 feet 3 inches tall when compared to Daddy Pig’s height. His name is Sultan Kosen, a Turkish farmer that has been holding the record since 2009. If we were to put the tallest man in the world next to Daddy Pig, Sultan Kosen would be just a few inches taller than the lovely cartoon piggy, Peppa. But Peppa is only four years old and the man in question, Mr Kosen is over 30 years old!
PIGS IN REAL LIFE
When comparing the animated cute family of pigs with real-life (cute) pigs, the differences between their height aren’t that big, really. At least compared to Peppa.
The average pig has about three feet tall. Full-grown pigs often reach lengths of up to six feet tall, if they were to stand in their feet like the characters of Peppa Pig. Of course, these numbers are considerably less than the estimation of Daddy Pig’s terrifying stature.
HOW TALL IS DADDY PIG CONCLUSION
No one really knows :( how Daddy Pig’s height appeared on google as being 14 feet 7 inches tall. But in our previous post, we already discovered that Peppa is a lot shorter than what the rumour suggests.
When compared the star of Peppa Pig with the character of Queen Elizabeth II, inspired by the queen herself, that appeared in the first episode of the sixth season, we realised that Peppa is about 70% of the Queen’s height. The Queen is around 5 feet 1 inch tall, so Peppa is about 3 feet 9 inches tall.
With this explanation, if we compare Peppa’s height with Daddy Pig’s height, we’ll realise that Mr Pig is not a giant. Sure, he’s still taller than the average man but doesn’t stand far from the average height of a pig in real life.
